چکیده
– Good insulation materials have low thermal conductivity which is mainly related with the density of material. Bio-composite contribute to reduce environmental footprint buildings. The main goal this study effectiveness a self-growing, bio-composite building material made Miscanthus x giganteus and mushroom Mycelium. Different mix proportions Mycelium were considered identify most suitable mixture produce porous composite has lower density. Scanning electron microscopy images used evaluate microstructural geometry Thermal test was conducted on eight plates, results showed that new between 0.0882 0.104 Wm?1K?1. Moreover, other experiments carried out characterize density, compressive strength water absorption. In addition, fire resistant tests plates without render conducted, it found belong category EI15 according EN13501–2:2003. initial be satisfactory make sustainable

Gypsum Composites with CDW as Raw Material
Abstract—In this study, the feasibility of incorporating ceramic waste from bricks (perforated brick and double hollow brick) and extruded polystyrene (XPS) waste, is analysed. Results show that it is possible to incorporate up to 25% of ceramic waste and 4% of XPS waste over the weight of gypsum in a gypsum matrix. Furthermore, with the addition of ceramic waste an 8% of surface hardness incre...
متن کاملPerformance of Non-fired Green Brick Containing Rice Husk as Sustainable Building Material
The demand for sustainable alternative construction materials to cement in modern technology cannot be underemphasized. This paper presents a non-fired green brick with an agriculture residue namely, rice husk. Although, high plasticity brown clay deposits are widely distributed in Malaysia and rice husk is a well known agriculture residue, research works on non-fired green brick with rice husk...
متن کاملConcrete as a Green Building Material
Concrete is by far the most widely used construction material worldwide. Its huge popularity is the result of a number of well-known advantages, such as low cost, general availability, and wide applicability. But this popularity of concrete also carries with it a great environmental cost. The billions of tons of natural materials mined and processed each year, by their sheer volume, are bound t...
متن کاملProduction of composites by using gliadin as a bonding material
In previous papers, a new technology that produces biopolymer composites by particle-bonding was introduced. During the manufacturing process, micrometer-scale raw material was coated with a corn (Zea mays L.) protein, zein, which was then processed to form a rigid material. The coating of rawmaterial particles with zein makes use of the unique property of this protein in aqueous ethanol soluti...
متن کاملMineralized polymer composites as biogenic bone substitute material
Mineralized polymer composites (MPC) are recognized as potential fillers of bone defects. Though bioceramics exhibits quite a good bone-bonding and vascularization, it is considered to be too stiff and brittle for using alone. Thus, the use of polymer scaffold instead of bioceramics has several advantages including combining the osteoconductivity and bonebonding potential of the inorganic phase...
